Lairdsland Primary School

The Scottish Futures Trust worked in partnership with East Dunbartonshire Council and architects Walters and Cohen to develop this innovative ‘reference’ primary school design. Hub West Scotland further developed the design with main contractor Morgan Sindall who led the build of this £7.7m project.

WMQ Building Services were responsible for the full mechanical and electrical fit-out of the new building, which also places a strong focus on renewable energy solutions, with the installation of a biomass boiler and a solar PV system.  The 280 or so pupils are now making full use of the facilities, having taken occupancy of the building just after the Easter holiday period.
